Director Jeff Fowler has confirmed on social media that filming has kicked off on the fourth Sonic the Hedgehog movie, which is scheduled to arrive in March 2027.
“Ready 4 Action,” Fowler posted, accompanied by an image of himself wielding what appears to be Amy Rose’s hammer. “SonicMovie4 now filming.” Speaking of Amy, the character was recently confirmed to be voiced in the film by Kristen Bell, who gamers will probably remember from her appearance as Lucy in Assassin’s Creed, Assassin’s Creed 2, and Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood.
In addition to Sonic the Hedgehog 4, Paramount Pictures announced recently that an as-yet untitled Sonic movie, referred to as a “Sonic Universe feature,” is pencilled in for release in December 2028.
No details are available on the plot of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 yet, and it’s unknown how many of the cast are returning beyond Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles.
