Sonic the (Savage) Hedgehog throws shade at Mighty No. 9

Mighty No. 9 has had a tumultuous development filled with delays, changes, and a trailer that insulted some of its fan base. And all of it doesn’t seem worth it given how poorly the game has reviewed (you can check out our review here).

Late last night, the game’s producer Keiji Inafune and other Comcept employees hosted a somewhat bizarre and uncomfortable post-launch livestream on Twitch. The chat of course was salty given the end product. Then at one point, Infaune said, "At the end of the day, even if [Mighty No. 9] is not perfect, it’s better than nothing."

Such a statement left Might No. 9 wide open to shade thrown by everyone’s favorite off-kilter, Twitter account, the official Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter.

Savage.

It’s not the first time the Sonic the Hedgehog Twitter played off of Mighty No. 9’s stumblings. The Mighty No. 9 Masterclass trailer featured the now infamous line (at the 1 minute mark), “And make the bad guys cry like an anime fan on prom night.”
