Sony Adds PS5 Backwards Compatibility Warning To Every PS4 Game Listing On PS Store

With the revamped PlayStation Store going live this week, it’s also been revealed that Sony has added a new PS5 backwards compatibility warning alongside listings for PS4 games on the store ahead of the console’s launch next month.

To play this game on PS5, your system may need to be updated to the latest system software. Although this game is playable on PS5, some features available on PS4 may be absent. See PlayStation.com/bc for more details.

While the PS5 is not capable of playing PSOne, PS2 or PS3 games, it is fully compatible with a massive range of PS4 games. Sony is also offering a PlayStation Plus Collection for existing subscribers that includes a range of the PS4’s most popular titles to play on PS5.
