Sony All But Confirms Bluepoint Games Acquisition In Now-Deleted Tweet

Sony just confirmed that it has snapped up Returnal developer Housemarque, but it looks like the company has also acquired Bluepoint Games, something which has been rumored for some time now.

That’s at least according to a now-deleted Tweet by the format holder, which was supposed to market the Housemarque acquisition, but instead depicted an image that clearly welcomes Bluepoint to the PlayStation Studios family. Whoops!

As mentioned the Tweet was hastily deleted, but it clearly shows an image that Sony’s team knocked up to announce Bluepoint’s acquisition, and mirrors the same layout as Housemarque’s, albeit with the name of the company changed, obviously.

As mentioned, Bluepoint Games has been heavily rumored to be next in line for Sony to acquire, having been described as a ‘matter of when‘ not if. If you’re not familiar with Bluepoint Games, they produced a number of hugely successful remakes including Shadow of the Colossus and Demon’s Souls.
