God of War Ragnarok Game Director Eric Williams has revealed that the game will feature a total of five difficulty settings, which players can change at any time.
Speaking during a live Q&A on Sony Santa Monica Studio’s official Discord, Williams revealed that all five will be available at launch, and changes have been made so that players can switch them mid-game.
For example, if you plump for Give Me God of War, which is the hardest setting, you can opt to switch to another setting if it’s a bit too difficult for you.
- Give Me Balance – Will give a balanced experience similar to God of War 2018.
- Give Me Story – Similar to “Give Me Story’ in the last game.
- Give Me Grace – Something in between Story and Balance.
- Give Me No Mercy – Similar to Give Me a Challenge setting from GOW 2018
- Give Me God of War – The hardest difficulty setting in the game.
