PlayStation 4 will be playable on the show floor at Gamescom next week, Sony has confirmed.
Speculation had been building this week that Sony’s next-generation console would not be available for hands-on time with the general public at the show. Retailers had apparently been informed as much, though nothing official was confirmed.
However, Sony has now cleared the air with VideoGamer.com, revealing the new platform will be playable.
The hardware giant is expected to unveil a slew of new PS4 and PS Vita games at its Gamescom press conference next week. We also expect it to confirm a final release date for its new home console, which so far is targeted for a holiday 2013 launch.
