Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that the PS5 will be released in India on February 2, nearly three months after the console launched in the US and UK. As you may recall, it was delayed as the format holder failed to secure its own IP in the region.
With the release date now locked down for PS5 in India, Sony is advising folk to preorder on January 12 in order to secure their system in time for launch. The PS5 will start at Rs 39,990 ($600) for the Digital-Edition version and Rs. 49,990 for the disc-based model.

Sony’s Indian arm has revealed that the PS5 will be available at multiple retailers including Games The Shop, aka GTS, Amazon India, ShopAtSC, Vijay Sales, Croma, Reliance Digital and the Walmart-owned Flipkart.
In terms of launch games, folk will be able to pick up the likes of Demon’s Souls, Destruction AllStars, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition, Cyberpunk 2077 and SackBoy: A Big Adventure.
