Andriasang reports that Sony has increased its initial shipment for the PlayStation Vita ahead of the handheld’s Japanese launch tomorrow.
The platform holder boosted shipments from its original target of 500,000 units to 700,000 due to high pre-order demand.
Sony’s new handheld will launch alongside a number of high-profile games including Uncharted: Golden Abyss and Ridge Racer.
Vita will be released in western territories on February 22, 2012.
