Well-known hardware insider KeplerL2 has claimed that a new version of the PS Portal will be released by Sony Interactive Entertainment later this year, which will take the form of an OLED model.
While nothing has been announced yet by the format holder, KeplerL2 revealed during a thread on NeoGAF that “they’re even doing another version this year,” while responding to comments that the PS Portal has been doing well in terms of sales. In a follow-up reply, he clarified that this will be an “OLED version.”
The PS Portal was released in November 2023 and allows users to stream content from their PS5 to the device using the Remote Play functionality via Wi-Fi. While it’s not exactly wallet-friendly in terms of price, the PS Portal ended up performing very strongly at retail, and in November 2025, Sony’s Takruo Fushimi revealed during an interview that the response to the device has been “overwhelming.”
Sony launched Cloud Streaming for PS Portal in November last year as part of a major update for the device, allowing you to stream select digital PS5 games from your library providing you’re a member of PS Plus. These include Astro Bot, Borderlands 4, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and Ghost of Yotei among many more.
