Speaking in light of its fiscal year 2008 results today, Sony has said that it expects PlayStation 3 sales to jump from 10 million last year to 13 million units over the course of the current financial year.
The platform holder also outlined its sales forecast for PSP, with the handheld expected to jump from 14 million to 16 million units during the same period. However, Sony expects PS2 sales to fall from 8 million to 6 million over the next year.
Overall software sales for all three platforms are poised to reach 240 million units.
