In a nice little gesture, Sony has put out a brief retrospective video celebrating the last 25 Years of Play and the release of its PlayStation home and handheld consoles.
In addition, Sony also made the following statement alongside the release of the video:
You’ve helped us celebrate an incredible 25 years of play, so join us to mark not only the end of another momentous year, but to celebrate the consoles and hardware that have brought us together. See you in 2020.
Though the video does little else than celebrate the 25 year history of Sony’s PlayStation platform, it nonetheless remains an effective little capper to what has been a busy year.

The release of the video, as brief as it is, is also timely in nature – coming hot on the heels of yesterday’s AMD PS5 spec leak which confirmed the GPU, Teraflop and backwards compatibility performance of Sony’s next-generation console.
