Sony has released PlayStation 3 software update 3.42 that is said to include additional security features. According to Exophase, the recent update kills USB-hub emulating exploits like PSGroove and PSJailbreak.
Over on the US PlayStation Blog, John Koller, director of hardware marketing, makes no mention of the USB emulation. This is a mandatory, yet minor update.
