Sony will be carrying out PSN maintenance on Monday to fix “essential maintenance and implement feature enhancements.” We understand this includes deploying a fix for the PS4 ‘not updating to Wi-Fi issues” that have plagued some users since the launch of PS4 update 4.50.

Users on the PlayStation forums immediately began to express concerns about the latest firmware update after PS4 Wi-Fi stopped working for some players.

“I Updated my PS4 this morning and after the update it can not connect to wifi .
It comes up with the error NW-31297-2 that my password might be wrong but im pretty sure the password is correct,my Internet connection works well on other devices so I dont get what is the problem here,” wrote one frustrated player.

It wasn't an isolated incident as further reports flooded in of Wi-Fi connection problems. Sony stated that it was aware of the connection issues and have been looking to solve them with upcoming maintenance.

Expect the PSN to be down on Monday April 3 for one hour at 10pm PT to 11pm PT (6am-7am BST on Tuesday).

“Anyone who already has an account can still sign in to their PlayStationNetwork profile, play games and use most applications while this maintenance is carried out. You will not be able to access Account Management, PlayStation Store, and PlayStation Video during this maintenance.”
