The head of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios (SCE WWS) has revealed that Project Morpheus is roughly 85 percent complete.
Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, Shuhei Yoshida assured that the price of Sony’s virtual reality peripheral would be fairly reasonable, due to the fact it utilizes smartphone technology.
The device is currently available in test-kit form to developers at $350, though this isn’t representative of the final retail product.
No release date for Project Morpheus has been confirmed as of yet, though we do know it won’t see the light of day in 2014.
