Today at the Disney D23 Expo, developer Insomniac Games released a video giving a look behind the development of their PS4 exclusive game, Spider-Man.
While the gameplay footage shown is clipped from the gameplay demo shown at E3 2017, here we have developers discussing some of their approach to the story and a few small additional story details. We also get shots of some of the beautiful concept art work Insomniac is using as a guide for Spider-Man’s visuals.
From hearing the developers talk, you can feel a real passion and reverence for the Spider-Man character and the desire to do the webslinger justice with this game.
Spider-Man for PS4 will release sometime next year in 2018. Insomniac is aiming for a CG-like aesthetic in a world four to six times bigger than Sunset Overdrive, its previous game.
