Heavy Iron Studios announced today that it’s developing SpongeBob’s Truth or Square for the PSP, DS, Wii and Xbox 360. The underwater adventure will feature a unique shape-shifting function that allows players to transform SpongeBob into different objects.
“We are excited to bring the ultimate SpongeBob video game experience to fans and gamers of all ages,” said Randy Shoemaker, vice president, global brand management at THQ. “This game will take players deeper into SpongeBob’s world than ever before as they relive cherished memories from SpongeBob’s off-the-wall adventures.”
Players are invited to jump, spin and hammer their way through 10 challenging levels, with each stage taking a look back at some of the happiest moments from the TV series. Using the new shape-shifting feature, gamers are able to morph SpongeBob into a ride range of objects, spanning from Sledgehammer Smash, Propeller Spin and many more. Two-player co-op modes have been added to let players take control of Plankton to help solve puzzles and more.
Expect to see SpongeBob’s Truth or Square in retail stores this fall.
