Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced when the SPY×FAMILY video game SPY×ANYA: Operation Memories for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch will release outside Japan: June 28 in the west (includes America, Europe, U.K.) and June 27 in Asia.
The Switch version already launched in Japan on December 21 (the day before the SPY×FAMILY movie’s release) under the name SPY×FAMILY Operation Diary. The PS5 and PS4 versions will come out on June 27 in Japan.
Also, a PC version is planned for a Steam release sometime later this year.
For the release date announcement, Bandai Namco debuted a new trailer for the game that shows the story premise and some more activities, mini-games, and gameplay not seen in the previously released trailer. Overall, it continues to look like a cute, cozy game that fits with the anime’s slice-of-life vibes.
The end of the trailer shows off the two DLC packs, which includes two costume sets each.
Additionally, there will be a Digital Deluxe Edition that includes the base game, both DLC packs, and an exclusive bonus Deluxe Outing Pack.
SPY×FAMILY started as a manga written and drawn by Tatsuya Endo and published in Shonen Jump+ magazine. A hit anime adaptation by Wit Studio and CloverWorks began last year.
Until the end of this month, SPY×FAMILY Code: White collab with Street Fighter 6 includes various in-game goodies.
The movie SPY×FAMILY Code: White released in theaters in Japan on December 22, 2023 (and I liked it quite a bit) and topped Japan’s box office in its first four weeks. Other countries are getting the film in theaters this year.
