Final Fantasy XI is being considered for a PlayStation Vita release, according to Square Enix’s Hiromichi Tanaka.
Speaking to Famitsu (via Siliconera), Tanaka said the Japanese giant is apparently investigating the possibility of bringing the game to Sony’s new handheld, though added a PlayStation 3 port would be highly unlikely.
Originally released in Japan on PlayStation 2 and PC back in 2002, Final Fantasy XI eventually landed in western territories in 2004, and was also later ported to Microsoft’s Xbox 360.
