The latest issue of EGM has got the skinny on EA Sports’ fast-paced snowboarding romp, SSX: Deadly Descents.
Fortunately, details from the mag have trickled their way on to the web courtesy of the folks at Neogaf – and we’ve got them below for your consumption.
For starters, the game will include a rewind feature allowing you to flatten out any wrinkles in your performance, which will come in handy considering the amount of courses up for grabs – 70 mountains spanning 17 regions in total.
The mountains themselves are automatically cobbled together utilizing Deadly Descents’ game engine, which also fetches data from the likes of Google Earth. Regions so far include Siberia, Kilimanjaro, Caucasus, the Alps and the Himalayas.
Furthermore, the more victories you score, the more cash you’ll accumulate, allowing you to fork out for fresh equipment needed to facilitate your survival against the myriad of mountain hazards. Dangers include thin air, temperature and ice.
Finally, long time fans will be chuffed to learn that the character of Elise will be making a comeback, alongside a heap of fresh faces.
SSX: Deadly Descents is due for release on PS3 and Xbox 360. A release date has yet to be pinned down.
