Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection Launch Plagued By Bugs, Server Issues

The launch of Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection has gotten off to a rocky start today, with users reporting a number of issues including bugs and server problems. As such, the collection has garnered a mostly negative rating among players, with its Steam page showing only a 20% favourable review.

According to early reports, Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection launched with some modes featuring a maximum of three PC servers for the entire community. As such, only about 192 of the 20,000 players trying to jump in were able to actually play the game.

Beyond that, early adopters are reporting bugs, stuttering and occasionally weapons failing to register damage. In some instances, the stuttering is so bad that players’ characters are skipping around the map.

One review on Steam reads as follows:

So let me get this straight. You launched this game with only 3 servers on PC knowing full well people only bought it for that sole reason? Peak comedy gold. Easy refund. What a disappointment. After 2 hours they finally launched the servers, and they are TERRIBLE. Horrible ping, stuttering, and by tomorrow cheaters will be rampant.

Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection is out now for PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
