Star Wars Battlefront dev explains lack of campaign mode

The senior producer behind Star Wars Battlefront has explained why the upcoming sci-fi shooter lacks a single player campaign.

Speaking with GameSpot, Sigurlina Ingvarsdottir commented, "As we concepted the game and thought about the legacy of the previous Battlefront games–they didn’t really have campaigns, they’ve always been predominately a multiplayer franchise. That’s what we wanted to do. We wanted to focus on the multiplayer.”

Star Wars Battlefront is due out on PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One in November. Check out the latest screenshots here and have a look at the gameplay for Fighting Squadron Mode while you’re at it.
