Star Wars Battlefront dev explains why there are no space battles

The general manager of developer DICE has shed light as to why the studio decided to eschew space battles from the hotly anticipated Star Wars Battlefront on PS4, PC and Xbox One.

Speaking with OPM U.K., Patrick Bach said that the team wanted the action firmly set among the infantry units.

"We want players to stay in the same [environment] – we don’t want players to fly off and do something over *here.* It’s about the Battlefront experience, so we want to keep you in-atmosphere and fighting with the infantry," commented Bach.

DICE has previously explained why the game looks as good as it does on PS4. Star Wars Battlefront is due out in November, with EA expecting the game to ship 9-10 million units by April next year.
