Star Wars Battlefront is coming exclusively to PlayStation VR

Sony has announced that DICE and LucasFilm are chiseling away on an exclusive Star Wars Battlefront project for PlayStation VR.

The title in question was revealed during Sony’s PS VR GDC event yesterday, where the console maker confirmed a price point and release window for the hotly anticipated virtual reality device.

However, it isn’t yet known whether Star Wars Battlefront VR will be a brand new title or an add-on of some description for last year’s PS4, PC and Xbox One science-fiction shooter. No release date has been confirmed for the project yet either.

Sony promised that more details on Star Wars Battlefront VR will be divulged in the coming months, so stay tuned to more updates as we get them.

PlayStation VR will launch in October 2016 in the U.S. and U.K. and will retail for $399/£349. Sony has plans for over 50 titles to release for the headset before the end of the year, with over 200 developers currently working on the device.
