Star Wars: Battlefront – Partners Feature replaces classes and squads

Star Wars:Battlefront will not feature squads or classes, as stated by design director Niklas Fegraeus in the Official Xbox Magazine. Instead, players will have free choice on weapons and gear.

The latest issue of the magazine also revealed that Star Wars: Battlefront will use a ‘Partners Feature’, which will allow players to connect to their friends, making it possible to play together, spawn next to each other and see each other on the heads-up display. This feature will also include the option to access unlocked items of your partner, rather than having to unlock them first.

Unlike Battlefield, DICE recently stated that the game won’t support a feature that allows players to aim down sight, nor will there be any space battles.

Star Wars: Battlefront will launch on November 17, 2015 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
