Dealabs’ billbil-kun has corroborated previous claims that the as-yet unannounced PS5 version of Starfield will launch on April 7, 2026.
This report follows on from a story earlier last month, when it was claimed by Polish website PPE.pl. that Starfield would be launching on April 7, and would be available to purchase in Standard and Premium Editions. The site has previously proven accurate in regards to release dates for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered and Sonic Racing CrossWorlds on Switch 2.
Now, Dealabs has stated that not only is this date accurate, but the Standard Edition of Starfield will be released at €49.99/£44.99, while the Premium Edition will set you back €69.99/59.99. This is cheaper than the original Xbox Series X/S version of Starfield, where the Premium Edition in particular costing £99.99. Beyond that, the report states that preorders will open on March 18.
Chatter about Starfield coming to Sony’s latest home console has been doing the rounds for a few years at this point. Initially, it was reported back in February 2024 via The Verge and XboxEra that Starfield would be among a number of Xbox titles coming to PS5, including the now-released Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. In January last year, Vandal reported that Starfield, Fable, and Killer Instinct would come to Sony’s platform.
Starfield represents the first original IP from Bethesda Game Studios in more than 25 years and is set in 2330, where humanity has explored beyond the solar system and settled on new planets.
