Street Fighter V has added veteran wrestler Zangief to its growing list of playable characters, developer Capcom has confirmed.
The hulking Russian will be able to utilize a range of special attacks, including his V-Skill, Iron Muscle, which allows the bearded brawler to absorb a single attack. Holding down the medium punch and medium kick buttons while hitting a direction will allow Zangief to slowly inch towards his opponent. Once you stop walking forward, the wrestler will flex his muscles and attack his opponent, provided he’s in close enough proximity.
Meanwhile, Zangief’s V-Trigger has him perform a spin that pulls his victim in close, which is activated by simply tapping the V-Trigger activation buttons. Alternatively, hold the buttons down to allow Zangief to continue to spin and attack his opponent multiple times over.
Check out a trailer of him in action below.
Street Fighter V is due out on PlayStation 4 and PC in spring 2016. Capcom expects the hotly anticipated fighting game to sell over two million copies worldwide, and has also announced a Collector’s Edition release of the title for those who fancy splashing out on more than just the regular version.
