Capcom News PS4 PS5 Street Fighter 6 Street Fighter 6 Yasmine Street Fighter 6 Year 4 Update

Street Fighter 6’s Latest Update Is Now Available, Adds Jasmine Support & Balance Changes

Capcom has released the latest Street Fighter 6 update for players to download, which brings a new character to the roster in the form of Jasmine. Those of you who own the Year 4 Character and Ultimate Pass can grab Jasmine now, although the character is also available to purchase separately, too.

Street Fighter 6 Year 4 update also implements a range of balance changes for the rest of the cast, which you can read about in full detail here. In addition, you can read the official blurb for the overall direction of this latest balance update below.

This battle adjustment was done with the aim of shifting the game’s balance by looking at every character and making adjustments. While we believe the game’s balance has reached a reasonably stable state thanks to repeated adjustments, the relative strength of each character has not shifted significantly in recent updates. Due to this, we decided to implement changes specifically to shake things up.

Please note that there are no adjustments applied universally to all characters.

Modern Control Adjustments
With this battle adjustments we’ve updated certain normal moves (ones that utilize the attack button) and special moves (ones that utilize the SP button) for specific characters. Additionally, for moves that are performed by pressing Down+SP, you can now select the strength of the special move by inputting SP with Down-back, Down or Down-Forward.

This adjustment requires players to relearn specific moves and adds a layer of complexity to the controls, but were done with the aim of improving usability and providing Modern control players with a larger range of options while in the neutral. Please note that Assisted Combos have also been updated for some characters to reflect these changes. Please refer to the character-specific sections for full details.

Yasmine hails from the Philippines, and learned to fight alongside her brother Kuya under their guidance of their grandfather, Lolo. However, Kuya disappears suddenly, and Yasmine is soon inspired to find her lost sibling after watching FooTube videos of a French supermodel.

Street Fighter 6 was released in June 2023 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. The game later arrived on Nintendo Switch 2 in June 2025 as a launch title. You can read our full review here.
