Yesterday saw the Japanese launch of Capcom’s highly anticipated Devil May Cry 4 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with both versions of the game witnessing a 60 per cent sell through rate.
However, the PS3 version ultimately triumphed over its Xbox 360 counterpart, selling 140,000 units in its first 24 hours on sale. The 360 release managed 30,000 units sold, which is perhaps unsurprising given the installed base of both machines in the region.
Devil May Cry 4 is scheduled for release in North America on February 5. The game hits European shelves on February 8, where reportedly the PS3 version will cost 10 more pounds than the 360 counterpart.
Look out for our review in the coming weeks.
