Okay, that was a terrible pun but the latest screenshots for Space Hulk: Deathwing have been released by its developer, Streum On Studio, showing off a bunch of gargantuan and atmospheric ship interiors that on first impressions at least would appear to do bombastic justice to the Warhammer 40,000 license that it’s based on.
In case you’re late to the party, the Unreal Engine 4-powered first-person shooter has players blasting it out against the nefarious Genestealer menace as they attempt to salvage important relics from the massive titular discarded space vessels and the asteroids surrounding them.
Able to be played either co-operatively or in solo, Space Hulk: Deathwing boasts a large, narratively driven campaign in addition to all the weapons and unit types that are present in the Space Hulk boardgame, such as the Assault Cannon, Storm Bolter and Thunder Hammer to name just a few.
Space Hulk: Deathwing is set to release on PlayStation 4 sometime this year but the publisher has not announced exactly when we can expect it. Naturally, as soon we hear of a more pinpoint release date for the game we’ll be sure to let you know. In the meantime though, you can give your eyes a treat with those new screenshots below.
