Developer Sucker Punch has declared that superhero romp inFamous 2 will give players a “heart attack” providing the team come up with the goods.
Speaking during a chinwag with U.S. magazine GameInformer, the firm revealed that punters can expect ‘bigger consequences’ to the actions you take as protagonist Cole MacGrath, stating the team is placing more emphasis on mortality this time around.
"[InFamous 1] was a superhero game that you could get into and have a good time," said the company. "The second game, if we do our jobs right, will hopefully give you a heart attack."
"We’re able to have a much more empathetic narrative this time. There are bigger consequences to your choices, and it’s not really obvious what’s good and bad.”
Elsewhere, Sucker Punch added that the platforming elements have also undergone a significant overhaul, revealing that gamers can expect an "incredible jungle gym of mobility" the game’s new city (which is said to be inspired by New Orleans).
"It becomes this landscape of opportunities when you can zip up a building, then find a wire that goes across empty space," explained the firm. “You’re making it up as you go, and you’re stringing together these cool moves that allow you to dominate the space in a way that only Cole can do."
