Suda51 is ‘horny’ for PS4

Grasshopper Manufacture bigwig Goichi Suda has used some choice words to express his excitement for Sony’s PlayStation 4.

Speaking in Famitsu magazine (translated by EDGE), Suda spoke highly of the platform’s cloud streaming service, and confirmed that not only will Grasshopper being making games for PS4, but GungHo and Acquire will too.

“Thinking about the future of this stuff and then constructing and outputting something appealing is our job as game designers, and from that challenge we can take new strength. And that makes me horny,” said Suda.

“I can’t go into detail at this stage, but for sure the new challenge is exciting. During PlayStation Meeting 2013, Sony showed such a strong vision.

“Now we have to decide how to find our own victories within that and present games that express the Grasshopper world. And that makes me horny again,” he added.

The Lollipop Chainsaw creator also said he’s a supporter of this generation’s lengthy console cycle, noting PS3 still has a lot of life in it.

Grasshopper Manufacture has cemented itself as the king of cult classics and has become renowned for its idiosyncratic approach to game development. Highlights in its career include Killer7, Shadows of the Damned and the aforementioned Lollipop Chainsaw.

The company is currently beavering away on its next project, the PS3 and Xbox 360 slash-‘em-up Killer is Dead. Stay tuned.
