The VR experts at Survios will be working with 20th Century Fox to create a single player, action-horror Aliens game, for both consoles and VR.
According to the official website, it’ll “feature an original storyline, set between the Alien and Aliens films, where a battle hardened veteran has a vendetta against the Xenomorphs.”
It’ll also be developed using Unreal Engine 5, and though we can’t say for sure, the timing of this announcement and potential development time ahead suggests it will release on PS5 and PSVR2.

The last time a single player based in the Alien universe came around, it was Alien: Isolation, and it is still deeply beloved by fans to this day.
While not a perfect game, it did wonders to encapsulate the tension of being alone in space with a deadly, terrifying creature.
Other previous games set in the Alien universe have been less favoured by fans, though none of them have been single player titles, as they’ve mainly been co-op shooters.
With Creative Assembly, the team that was behind Alien: Isolation currently working on a new FPS called Hyenas, it’ll be interesting to see what Survios now brings to the series.
Hopefully Survios can work to restore some of the community favour lost with titles like Aliens: Fireteam Elite.
