Survivorman VR: The Descent is a new PlayStation VR2 game arriving on February 15, 2024 that’ll put you in the position of someone needing to do anything and everything they can just to survive.
Your plane has crashed landed, and your caught in the Arctic. It’s up to you now to survive, doing whatever it takes to do that. Thankfully with the power of video games you won’t actually be in any danger.
On top of that, you’ll have the Survivorman himself, Les Stroud, with you guiding you and narrating your survival experience.
You can check out the trailer below, with Les Stroud introducing the game himself.
Les Stroud made his name by being the survival documentarian who would always go out by himself, alone, with barely anything but his wits and some camera gear.
He’s a Canadian Screen Award winning director, producer, writer, and solo star of the Survivorman television show, that ran from 2000-2015 where Les travelled the world and spent a week surviving in some of the harshest climates imaginable.
You’ve also likely seen Stroud on a variety of Discovery Channel shows, and now he and his production company are working with PBS on his latest production.
This new title looks like it’ll allow players to feel and understand a bit of what Les has done his whole career – in the comfort of their own home.
