Take-Two CEO Expects Mid-Cycle Console Refresh

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has said during the company’s latest earnings call overnight that he expects a mid-generation console refresh.

Asked if he expects a new iteration of the current-generation of hardware, and how much they affected business for Take-Two in the last generation, he replied: “We probably will, and they did not affect the business very much.”

Sony and Microsoft released mid-cycle refreshes of the PS4 and Xbox One during the last hardware cycle with the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X, respectively. Sony has been heavily rumored to be working on a PS5 Pro, which is reportedly set to launch in late 2024.
