Take-Two revealed a revised slate of upcoming titles during its latest financial report overnight, revealing that while some titles have been cancelled outright, they were not part of its core franchises.
During a presentation for its FY 2024 earnings overnight, the publishing giant revealed that it has 40 titles planned to ship by the end of the 2027 fiscal year, which is down from the 52 titles revealed during February. While it is important to note that this doesn’t mean all 12 missing titles were cancelled outright, Take-Two did confirm that there have been some projects scrapped.
Our updated release schedule reflects the actions of our recent cost-reduction programme, through which we cancelled several titles to focus our efforts and resources on the franchises we believe represent our best opportunities to achieve significant critical and commercial success,. These titles did not include any of our core franchises and were not expected to materially affect our next bookings growth.
