Private Division has reportedly seen the ‘vast majority’ of its staff laid off by Take-Two, which includes teams based in Seattle, New York, Las Vegas, and Munich.
Earlier this week it was revealed that Private Division is due to shutter Roll 7 and Intercept Games, but a report on GamesIndustry.biz has now revealed that additional layoffs have hit the studio. However, when contacted for more details, Take-Two would only offer the following statement from the earlier in the week:
On April 16th, Take-Two announced a cost reduction program to identify efficiencies across its business and to enhance the Company’s margin profile, while still investing for growth. As part of these efforts, the Company is rationalizing its pipeline and eliminating several projects in development and streamlining its organizational structure, which will eliminate headcount and reduce future hiring needs. The Company is not providing additional details on this program.
