Announced during the finals of the Tekken World Tour 2018, Armor King, his great rival Marduk, and Julia are coming to Tekken 7 to round out Season Pass 2.
Armor King and Marduk are available from today the 3rd December, while Julia has yet to receive an official release date. Although it seems probable she’ll arrive alongside The Walking Dead’s Negan, who himself was showcased in all his glory for the first time ever during the aforementioned event.
Armor King and Marduk
As you can see from the video above and the accompanying bio, Armor King arrives in Tekken 7 with revenge on his mind.
Fuelled with a need for revenge, Armor King is determined to face off against his brother’s killer. Will you wrestle your way to the top and settle the score?
While Marduk, whose gameplay trailer you can watch below, is no less eager to lock horns with Armor King one more time.
Burning with rage, Craig Marduk is eager to challenge Armor King once again to determine their fates. Will you crush bones and become the ultimate champion?
Negan Gameplay Reveal
The new Negan gameplay demonstration, meanwhile, preceded by a CG recreation of his most iconic scene from The Walking Dead, gave us an extended look at his rather unique fighting style.
Perhaps predictably, it revolves around his baseball bat; which, for those of you who’ve never seen AMC’s long-running series, is lovingly named Lucille.
The most striking feature of the demonstration for our money, however, is the arena itself. A secluded woodland clearing, ringed by an army of Saviours and lighted by the headlights of their vehicles; it’s a wonderfully faithful recreation of the corresponding scene featured in the original television show.
It still seems slightly odd to include the words Negan and Tekken in the same sentence. Nevertheless, we’ll let you know exactly when Negan (and Julia) will be available as soon as Bandai Namco has an official release date.
Finally, as well as Armor King and Marduk, today sees the release of the latest Tekken 7 update.
Numbered patch 2.10, today’s update provides balancing adjustments to several existing fighters, fixes a number of lingering bugs, and introduces:
- New customisation items
- An updated health gauge design
- Updated character selection music
- New jukebox tracks
- The Fighter King’s Raiment for Noctis
- And new gallery illustrations
