Bandai Namco Games has announced details on Tekken 8 update 2.01, which is due to launch on May 13, 2025 and brings with it a number of key balance adjustments, including tweaks to the amount of damage that aerial combos inflict. In addition, alterations to the Ranked system will also be implemented, removing the instances of demotion matches immediately after a player is promoted.
Beyond that, returning brawler Fahkumram has been confirmed as the next DLC character and will arrive in Summer 2025. Fahkumram made his debut in Tekken 7 Season 3, and specialises in Muay Thai.
Beyond that, Tekken 8 update 2.02 and Tekken 8 2.03 have been confirmed to launch on June 3 and Summer 2025, respectively, bringing more balance adjustments and various costumes. For example, version 2.02 brings the Karate Kid: Legends collaboration with a hoodie and Vision takeover, while version 2.03 adds the Pac-Man collaboration, which includes a new stage and various Pac-Man related cosmetics as part of Fight Pass Round 6.

Tekken 8 was released in January 2024 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. The game is currently in its second season, which has prompted huge backlash from the community due to the significant changes to characters that have stripped them of identity and putting emphasis on overpowered moves little to no counterplay.
Bandia Namco is in the process of addressing these issues with multiple updates in the next few months as detailed above, although it has attempted to remove some of the more egregious issues with an emergency patch last month.
