Tekken boss Katsuhiro Harada ‘missing for a week’

Tekken series producer Katsuhiro Harada has been ‘missing for a week,’ according to Namco representatives posting on the developer’s official Twitter page.

Harada-san, who has worked on the venerable beat-‘em-up franchise for nearly two decades, hasn’t been seen in office for a full week, leaving the Tekken Project support team to post the following to his 37,000 plus followers:

“This is TEKKEN Project support team. Mr. Harada has been missing from office since a week ago,” adding, “We are still searching for him. Thanks.”

With E3 in such close proximity many sites are speculating this is merely a PR stunt, although one of very poor taste. Regardless what is behind Harada-san’s ‘disappearance,’ we hope to hear more on the situation from Namco so we’ll keep you posted.

Harada-san is currently working on Tekken x Street Fighter, though for what platform(s) is unclear at present.
