TGS 2011: Kojima’s Fox Engine being developed for Vita

Hideo Kojima took the stage during Sony’s Tokyo Game Show 2011 press conference to announce some interesting titles coming to the Vita. While on topic of Sony’s new handheld beast, Kojima announced that the Fox Engine will also support the PlayStation Vita.

Fox Engine is the latest in tech coming from Kojima Productions, having been developed since the release of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. The goal of the engine is to make it possible to create cross-platform titles with significantly shortened development time.

No news on what will use the Fox Engine on the Vita yet, but stay tuned to PSU for more info as it breaks.
