There were a lot of games we saw during the event that caught our eye, had our mouths water, and then kicked us in the face because either A) it would be too niche for the western market or B) the series is not popular enough in the west to warrant the cost of localizing. Jikkyou Powerful Pro Baseball 2013 was one of those games. A cute and fun baseball game that looks and plays like Bases Loaded on the NES, it is a surprisingly deep game with lots of genre crossover elements. The fun rouge-like maze crawler and the RPG rouge-like story mode to create an unlimited amount of characters is often more fun to play than the baseball itself. Seeing as how a PlayStation 2 version of the series based around the MLB did not get any traction, it is almost a guarantee Konami would not try the experiment again.
