Double Fine has lifted the veil off a new downloadable adventure game by the name of The Cave.
Due out on PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360, The Cave is being masterminded by Ron Gilbert, who is perhaps best known as the creator of the Monkey Island franchise.
Players will cobble together a team of adventures and explore locations including a subterranean amusement park, where you’ll encounter inter-continental ballistic missiles. It’s due out in early 2013.
Said Gilbert: “The concept of The Cave has been bouncing around in my head for many, many years, and then the little voices that tell me to do things said it was time to make the game.”
“I’m thrilled to be working with amazingly talented folks at Double Fine and ecstatic that the team at SEGA believes in adventure games and quirky ideas,” he added.
