A physical version of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered on PS5 is launching in October 2025, The Game Collection has confirmed.
Preorders for the physical release have gone live today, although right now it’s not known if the complete version of Oblivion is actually on the disc; Indiana Jones and the Great Circle and DOOM: The Dark Ages both featured hardly any data on their respective discs, after all.

Powered by Unreal Engine 5, Oblivion Remastered completely overhauls the original 2006 fantasy-RPG with brand new character models, improved lighting effects, new dialogue, and enhanced user interface and other quality-of-life improvements. So comprehensive is the remastering efforts that the senior designer of the original game has said it could be called Oblivion 2.0.
The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remastered was released for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S on April 22, 2025. You can read our full review here. Six days after the game’s release, Bethesda revealed that Oblivion Remastered has already amassed four million players worldwide.
Bethesda originally released The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion for the PC and Xbox 360 back in 2006, with a PS3 version arriving the following year. The game was supported by two major expansions; The Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine, and also released the notorious horse armor DLC.
