Critically-acclaimed RPG The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has notched up over 20 million sales since it launch in November 2011, Bethesda has announced.
The news comes following a recent blog post by the studio outlining the fantasy romp’s continued success on the market.
Skyrim takes place 200 years after the events of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and sees gamers taking on the role of a Dragoborn amidst growing fears of a civil war within the icy landscapes and mountain regions of chilly Skyrim.

The next chapter in the franchise, The Elder Scrolls Online, is scheduled to ship on PlayStation 4 in June 2014. As for The Elder Scrolls VI, nothing official has been announced as of yet, and it speculated Bethesda will churn out a new Fallout title before revisiting Tamriel again.
