Todd Howard has revealed during an interview with Game Informer that development of The Elder Scrolls VI is progressing well, noting that the majority of the studio is now working on the fantasy-RPG.
It’s progressing really well. The majority of the studio’s on VI, but I’ll say this: We always overlap. So, we’re very used to overlapping development. And we have long pre-productions on things so that we feel good about them. And it’s a process. We all wish it went a little bit faster – or a lot faster – but it’s a process that we want to get right.
The Elder Scrolls VI was originally announced at E3 2018 with a brief teaser trailer, although we’ve seen nothing on the game since. Speaking with GQ back in November, Howard said that the highly anticipated fantasy-RPG was “still a long way off,” and at this point there’s no guarantee it will even arrive on the current-generation of hardware.
