The Fortnite Disney Universe Has Reportedly Moved To A ‘Stable’ Build

Fortnite leaker HypeX has revealed that the game’s upcoming Disney universe has now transitioned to a ‘stable’ build.

EXACTLY 1 YEAR AFTER THE ANNOUNCEMENT: Fortnite moved the Disney Collab today into a “Stable” build/branch,” he wrote on X.

There’s no date yet as to when we can expect the Disney collaboration to arrive in Fortnite, but it sounds like the project is moving along well having reached this new milestone. As mentioned by HypeX above, the collaboration was announced one year ago as part of Disney investing $1.5 billion to acquire an equity stake in Epic Games, which would result in an “all-new games and entertainment universe” for the battle royale title.

The teaser video for the Disney collaboration revealed a number of highlights, including the iconic Disney Castle and smaller islands base around Wreck-It-Ralph, A Nightmare Before Christmas, Monsters University, Iron Man, Star Wars, and much more. This new universe is powered by Unreal Engine, and will allow users to create their own stories and shared content with other players.

Fortnite was released in 2017 and attracted more than 125 million players in less than one year, pulling in hundreds of millions of dollars each month. Up until December 2019, Fortnite generated $9 billion in gross revenue, making it one of the most popular games on the planet.
