PlayStation Productions and Sony Pictures have announced that Jason Momoa will star in the Helldivers movie, which is set to hit theatres on November 10, 2027.
The big screen adaptation of Arrowhead Game Studios’ popular series will be produced by Hutch Parker, Asad Qizilbash (PlayStation Productions), and Justin Lin (Perfect Storm Entertainment). That’s about all we know so far, although the film is still in the early stages of production at this point.
Helldivers 2 is the latest instalment in the franchise and launched for PS5 and PC in February 2024. The Helldivers movie was first announced back in December 2025, where it was confirmed that Justin Lin would be directing the project. Lin of course is best known for helming various entries in the Fast and Furious franchise.
