SNK has booted the release of The King of Fighters XV into Q1 2022, having originally planned to launch the game later this year.
The game’s producer, Yasuyuki Oda, revealed that the impact of the coronavirus virus outbreak in Japan has affected the development timeline set out by the company. As such, to ensure the game meets the quality standard set by SNK, the studio has decided to postpone the game’s release to early next year.
We sincerely ask for your kind patience and understanding as our development teams continue to work hard on KOF XV as we draw closer to its release.
The King of Fighters XV is now due for release in Q1 2022, presumably for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.
