The Last Guardian creator Fumito Ueda has said that gamers will definitely not want to miss the game’s ending.
Speaking in a letter handed out to press ahead of the game’s launch early next month, Ueda-san spoke about The Last Guardian’s arduous development cycle, as well as his team’s goals for the project following ICO and Shadow of the Colossus.
"When we first began work on The Last Guardian, I intended it to take from and build on our experience working on ICO and Shadow of the Colossus," he said, "making it something akin to a greatest hits album. Unfortunately, as you know, we ran into a few twists and turns along the way, and the title took longer than expected.
"Still, just as ICO and Shadow of the Colossus are truly unique games, so too is The Last Guardian an experience unlike any other."

The note goes on to say that players “definitely won’t want to miss” The Last Guardian ending sequence.
The Last Guardian release date set for early December 2016
The Last Guardian is due for release in the U.S. on December 6 and in Europe on December 9, exclusively for PlayStation 4. The game has been in development for around nine years, and was first announced for the PS3 back at E3 2009. However, production shifted to the PS4 following numerous setbacks, which included Ueda-san’s departure from Sony to work on the game on a freelance basis.
Interestingly, this will be Ueda-san’s first game in a decade, having previously shipped Shadow of the Colossus back in 2006 for the PS2. Sony later released a high-definition bundle of Team ICO’s titles for PS3 as part of the ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection in 2011.
