HBO’s The Last of Us series may air around the same time as the final season of The Walking Dead, which is set to wrap up at some point in 2022 after more than a decade.

Despite this Scott Gimple, the chief content officer for The Walking Dead, which originally starred Andrew Lincoln as former sheriff deputy Rick Grimes, isn’t too worried about the competition.
I think there’s room for all of us, with zombies and the different ways of telling zombie tales. I’m going to be watching both. I hope a lot of people will be watching.

HBO’s The Last of Us series is currently without a release date, while The Walking Dead Season 11, which will wrap up the series, is going to feature 24 episodes and will be spread over two years.
